How Does 1920s Fashion Stay Popular

The second decade of 20th century was also known as the ‘Roaring Twenties’. That was the Jazz Age. Young men and women stayed out late and danced the night away.

After world war I ended, women’s fashion became much more masculine. Dresses and skirts were looser and silhouettes boxier. Hemline began to rise, revealing the ankle and hovering at calf-length for most of the decade.

At this year, a “flapper style” appeared and became popular. Flapper style was marked with many young women loved to wear mini skirt, with bob hair style, loved jazz, and against a normal behavior. They had a unique outfit also called Flapper. This outfit had a straight line and loose, short sleeves, and the waist-cut fall onto the hips, completed with stockings tighten with garter. Their shoes were 2 inches high.

This Flapper style is not died through the ages. If you want to try and embrace the fashion of 1920s, Flapper may be a good choice. You can choose embroidery stockings matched with undergarments that are more flattening than revealing topped-off with a box cut. Knee-length dress that is loose and sleeveless. The dress can be ornately beaded or include sequin, fringe or tassel details.

Accessories: earrings and necklaces and lots of bracelets. Wear also a cloche hat or feathered headband. For footwear, you can wear Mary Janes with a button-snap closure.

Modernize your appearance with fishnet stockings and stilettos, or keep your hair and make-up more current.
